The company is looking for an experienced CFO to take full ownership of the finance function, strengthen financial governance, improve business economics, and build a scalable and resilient financial organization.
About the Role
We are looking for a mature and independent financial leader with deep hands-on experience in payments and a proven track record of building and transforming finance functions.
This is not a purely reporting or coordination role. The CFO will have full ownership of the finance organization and a clear mandate to redesign processes, strengthen controls, reduce dependency on key individuals, develop the team, and improve financial performance.
• Take full ownership of the company’s finance function and its further development.
• Assess the existing financial organization, processes, controls, roles, and key dependencies.
• Safely redesign financial processes while maintaining business continuity and operational stability.
• Reduce dependency on individual key employees and build sustainable, well-documented processes and controls.
• Build, develop, and strengthen the finance leadership team and broader finance function.
• Ensure effective financial management across the company’s payment operations.
• Improve financial transparency, control, and decision-making across the business.
• Identify opportunities to improve business economics and deliver measurable financial impact.
• Drive automation of finance processes and personally lead implementation of relevant solutions.
• Establish clear ownership, accountability, and effective controls across financial functions.
• Work closely with senior management on financial priorities, transformation initiatives, and strategic decisions.
• Lead the transition toward a scalable finance organization capable of operating effectively without excessive dependency on individual experts.
• Significant senior-level experience leading finance functions, ideally within FinTech, Payments, Acquiring, Processing, or a closely related industry.
• Deep practical understanding of payment finance and the financial mechanics of a payments business.
• Proven experience independently managing a complex finance function.
• Demonstrated experience transforming finance processes and controls without disrupting ongoing operations.
• Proven ability to reduce key-person dependency and build sustainable organizational structures.
• Strong experience building teams and developing finance managers and functional leaders.
• Track record of delivering measurable improvements in financial performance or business economics.
• Hands-on experience implementing automation within finance is required.
• Ability to personally drive transformation initiatives from diagnosis through implementation and measurable results.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, and change management skills.
• Ability to work independently with a high level of ownership and authority.
• Russian — working proficiency is required.
• English is an advantage but is not a mandatory selection criterion.
• Full-time senior leadership position with full ownership of the finance function.
• Significant mandate and resources to transform and develop the finance organization.
• Direct involvement in strategic financial decisions and transformation of the business.
